Tottenham Hotspur fans are pleased after Sergio Reguilon was left out of the Spain squad.

Reguilon has been a mainstay in his national side of late, but the Spurs man was overlooked here.

The left-back, who has only recently returned from injury, was omitted, with Spain choosing to look at other options.

Although the reasons are not entirely clear, Tottenham fans are certainly pleased that Reguilon won’t be leaving them in the coming weeks.

Tottenham fans’ happiness that Reguilon won’t be going away with his nation is understandable.

The former Real Madrid man is a key player for them, and a break should do him good.

Spurs will also be pleased that there is now a significantly reduced chance of him getting injured over the international break.

Tottenham have had some bad luck with players getting injured while representing their country, and they will be keen to keep Reguilon away from the treatment table.

The Spaniard is unquestionably Spurs’s finest left-back, and is enjoying an excellent first season in North London.

Spurs have two more games to play before their players go away on international duty, against Dinamo Zagreb and Aston Villa.
