Christian Eriksen has seemingly opened the door to a move in January, amid rumours that he could return to Tottenham Hotspur, through his comments to TV 2.

Eriksen only left Tottenham for Inter Milan back in January, but the move hasn’t worked out as planned.

Eriksen has struggled for form in Serie A, and often been overlooked by Inter boss Antonio Conte.

CalcioMercato now suggest that Tottenham could look to bring the play maker back to North London.

And Eriksen’s latest words will only add fuel to the fire that a return to Tottenham could be possible.

“I am concentrating on my football, then when the transfer window opens we will see if something will happen or not,” Eriksen said.

“This isn’t what I dreamed of. All players want to play as much as possible, but the coach decides who gets to go on the pitch.”

If Eriksen did return to Tottenham then he would do so with a point to prove.

The £17 million Dane (BBC Sport) was one of Spurs star players for a number of years, but he was in abject form for his final few months with the club, after seemingly becoming intent on moving away.

Some Tottenham fans are still frustrated with the way that Eriksen engineered his exit, but if he could return to his best back with Jose Mourinho’s side, then he would unquestionably be a good addition to the Lilywhites’ current squad.
