Leeds United are reportedly keen on Bolton Wanderers ace Josh Vela.
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United are interested in launching a move to sign Bolton Wanderers midfielder Josh Vela during the January transfer window.
Whilst Leeds brought in Mateusz Klich to boost their midfield over the summer, the Pole has yet to really feature under Thomas Christiansen, and may even leave in January as a result of his lack of playing time.
If he does go, then Leeds may need to bring in another midfielder to replace him, and it’s believed that Bolton Wanderers ace Josh Vela is on their radar.
The Daily Mail report that Leeds – along with Brighton, Derby and Sheffield Wednesday – all want to sign Vela in January, and could look to pounce for his signature.
Vela, 23, has been on the books with Bolton for nearly 10 years now, and has racked up almost 150 appearances for the club, scoring 12 times, with 10 of his goals coming last season.
Primarily a central midfielder but also capable of playing at right back, Vela is one of Bolton’s most important players, with his return from injury unsurprisingly sparking an upturn in results.
With Leeds now believed to be pursuing a January move for Vela, Bolton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the rumours, with many begging him to stay at the Macron Stadium.
Others feel that Bolton are doomed for relegation if they sell Vela, but given that the Trotters have sold other homegrown talents such as Rob Holding and Zach Clough in recent years, some are concerned that the same will happen again in order to raise funds – though others aren’t quite believing the rumours just yet.
