Marcelo Bielsa has said to Leeds Live that Pablo Hernandez will decide whether he can play for Leeds United tomorrow.

Hernandez has been nursing an injury since the restart, but has trained with Leeds all week.

There are now hopes that he could feature for the Whites against Fulham.

But Bielsa has suggested that no decision has been made yet, and it will be left up to Hernandez to judge whether he is fit enough to feature.

“Pablo has trained with us all the week,” Bielsa revealed. “Tomorrow we finish the work with him. According to how he feels, he is going to be involved, or not, in the match on Saturday.

“It wasn’t a big deal because he had a little muscular problem and he recovered himself in 10 days. Short recovery period points to it not being serious. Pablo knows, very well, his own body, we want to wait until tomorrow so he can confirm how he feels.”

If Hernandez does recover in time to feature for Leeds it will be a major boost for Bielsa’s men.

The Spaniard offer Leeds a great deal of creativity, and they are a much stronger team when he is involved.

Leeds will want their best players on the pitch tomorrow, as it is arguably their biggest game of the season so far.

Leeds will take a huge step closer to promotion with a victory, but if they suffer defeat then Fulham will be breathing right down their necks over the run-in.
