Aston Villa and Liverpool played a behind-closed-doors friendly on Sunday at Anfield, which ended 4-1 to the home side, according to the Mirror.
A certain Frederic Guilbert, who has seen his game time vanish at Villa Park, featured for Dean Smith’s side.
The 26-year-old posted a clip on his Instagram story of some great link-up play on the right flank between himself and Bertrand Traore.
As the ball was played out wide to Traore from the midfield, he played a first time ball to the on-rushing Guilbert, who cleverly flicked the ball behind him into Traore’s path and he then attacked Liverpool’s backline.
Guilbert added a caption with the clip that he posted on Monday by saying: “My boy @Bertrandtraore10. The connection. We told you.”

Villa were in the Championship when they initially signed Guilbert.
But it was just his luck that when he officially joined up with them, they had just earned promotion to the Premier League.
The Frenchman was a regular upon their first season back, but he was then loaned out back to his home country the following campaign and has now fallen down the pecking order.
He has shown a glimpse of the link-up play he can produce with Traore on the right-wing and perhaps Dean Smith needs to give him the chance to prove himself again.
The treatment of Guilbert has been a little harsh because he, at the very least, deserves to be back-up to Matty Cash in B6.
