Erling Haaland has claimed ‘we have to wait and see’ at the possibility of Liverpool transfer target, Jude Bellingham, coming to the Premier League next summer, as he told his press conference.

The Manchester City striker shared that he ‘spoke about England’ with Bellingham prior to his transfer and the midfielder is ‘happy for him’.

For the past two summers, Borussia Dortmund have sold their star players, last time out Jadon Sancho joined Manchester United and now Haaland is donning the colours of the Premier League champions.

Liverpool have been long-admirers of Bellingham, and whilst there is hope from fans that they can sign him up this summer, that hope will hit the roof in 12 months’ time because that’s when supporters will think it’s more realistic.

Dortmund have proven that if the money is right, then they are willing to sell their star players and there could be the possibility that Bellingham is the next in line.

Nonetheless, when Haaland was asked about Bellingham, this is what the Premier League’s new hitman had to say about the England international.

“Yes, he was a good guy (and best friend at Dortmund),” said Haaland. “We talked a lot about it (me staying at Dortmund).

“In the end, we talked about England as a country and everything. Hopefully, he is happy for me.

Back to England for Bellingham next summer: “Good question, we will have to see.” he laughed.

BELLINGHAM IS PERFECT FOR LIVERPOOL

At the age of 19, Bellingham can take his time and continue his development in Germany, where he has made a name for himself.

But the all-action midfielder just seems destined for England’s top-flight, where he is yet to play after starting his career in the Championship.

Bellingham is perfect for the Reds and a manager like Jurgen Klopp, who has proven during his time on Merseyside that he can take a player’s game to the next level.

Plus, with Jordan Henderson hitting his mid-30s’, those in the Anfield boardroom have to look forward and toward the long-term, as someone like Bellingham ticks so many boxes.

Either way, whatever club is able to get their hands on Bellingham next, then they have a player who can dominate the football scene for the next ten years easy.
