Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Sir Alex Ferguson claimed the Invincibles stand above any other achievement in football.

What’s the story?

Well, in the trailer for Arsène Wenger’s new documentary, the iconic Scottish manager commented on Arsenal’s achievement.

For years, Arsenal and Manchester United fans have argued about which side is better – Ferguson’s treble winners, or the Invincibles.

Now, Ferguson himself has conceded that Wenger’s 2003/04 side achieved the greatest feat in football.

Understandably, the Arsenal fans loved hearing this.

One even said the statement should be hung up at the Emirates Stadium!

After years of arguments, the Gunners fans have all been proven right, and by Ferguson of all people!

Are the Arsenal Invincibles the greatest team ever?

In our view, the 79-year-old is correct.

Yes, the Red Devils may have won three trophies, although others have secured the treble before.

No club – even to this day – has been handed the golden Premier League trophy won by the likes of Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira.

Wenger even boldly claimed it could be done before that 2003/04 campaign started, a statement he was ridiculed for.

The fact he followed through with his brave comments simply add more gloss to the incredible achievement.

Arsenal went up against the best clubs in England on a weekly basis, and not once did they leave a stadium with the taste of defeat lingering.

Until it’s replicated, it will stand alone as the best achievement in football.

For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about his comments…
