Ian Wright has said that Arsenal need youngster Bukayo Saka as he is such a strong creative talent, as per his comments on Premier League Productions.

Saka was only used as a substitute for Arsenal against Leeds United yesterday, but he injected some energy into their performance when he was introduced.

Even with 10 men, Saka helped to increase Arsenal’s attacking threat.

The England international could actually have won the game for the Gunners, but he was denied by Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, Saka did seem to pick up an injury problem during the contest, and Wright is really hoping that the prospect isn’t out for long.

“He’s come off the bench and he’s arguably the best creative player we have on the pitch,” Wright said.

“I think as time goes by he will learn that he could take that chance a bit quicker.

“Hopefully he’s not too bad with whatever the injury is because we need him, you could see that. We need that guy.”

Saka looks to be one of the most exciting prospects that Arsenal have produced in some time, but there are concerns over the sheer amount of football that he has had to play recently.

Saka started all three England games over the international break, and has featured in Arsenal’s last two matches – which means he has been required to play five times in just a fortnight.
