What the Wolves fans think about the prospect of signing Benik Afobe permanently from Bournemouth after the striker’s latest comments.
Benik Afobe has made no secret of the fact that he would like to make his loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers from Bournemouth a permanent one.
Afobe returned to Molineux in the January transfer window on a temporary deal two years after he had left to begin a Premier League career with the Cherries.
Things didn’t quite work out at the Vitality Stadium for the 25-year-old, but the striker wants to return to the top flight, yet this time with his beloved Wolves.
“I’ve said this is home to me. We’ve still got eight games to go, those kind of calls will be between Bournemouth and Wolves and my agent,” Afobe told the Express and Star.
“I’ll have to sit down with my family but my dream has always been to play for Wolves in the Premier League so if that’s to go by anything then hopefully that can happen.”
Afobe has been in fine form since joining Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, scoring four goals in nine Championship matches to help the West Midlands outfit assert their position at the top of the table.
Wolves have the option of making the Democratic Republic of Congo international’s move permanent in the summer, but if they do get promoted fans of the club are mixed on whether they should trigger this.
