Ezgjan Alioski told Amazon Prime that Leeds are aware that Tottenham are a ‘strong’ side and they are the ‘better’ team ahead of their weekend showdown.
Whilst Leeds were putting five past West Brom in midweek, Spurs saw their all-London affair against Fulham postponed, so they will come into the game that bit fresher.
That’s key against this Leeds side because they have outran every single opponent that has stepped foot in front of them this season and they are a nightmare to play against.
Alisoki shared his thoughts on Spurs and he believes the North London side, who are sitting in a European place, are ‘favourites’.
“We know it’s Tottenham,” said Alioski. “They are the favourites. It’s nice for us to take this challenge against these big teams and to try against them to play the football that we play against them.
“To show them that even we can do something against big teams. We know that they are strong. We know that they are the better team. Individually [also].
“But if we go there together then this makes us really strong and we need to go there like a team to do the best and we know Tottenham is Tottenham.”
It’s going to be a great battle on the touchline with two of the greatest footballing minds in Jose Mourinho and Marcelo Bielsa going head-to-head.
Both are highly-demanding coaches and are also highly-regarded across the footballing word for their methods.
But Leeds will be hoping their gung-ho style can rip through Mourinho’s team, who have suffered a number of poor results recently.
