Cristiano Ronaldo has labelled Tottenham as a ‘difficult’ opponent at a ‘difficult’ stadium following Manchester United’s 3-0 win on Saturday, as he told Sky Sports.
One of the world’s greats also added that he ‘knew’ his side would give a ‘good answer’ against Spurs after last week’s thrashing by Liverpool.
Tottenham fans, who made their feelings clear inside the ground, wish that their team provided a ‘difficult’ evening for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men because it was far from it.
They made their players well aware of what they thought about what they were producing, as the atmosphere turned pretty toxic, especially in the second half.
Ronaldo was the one who opened the scoring in the first half, before his lovely Cruyff and through ball during the second helped Edinson Cavani get on the scoresheet.
After the game, Ronaldo was pleased with what his team produced, as he used one word to describe Spurs.
“We knew that we give a good answer,” said Ronaldo. “We play good and started the game very well. Of course, my job is to help the team with my goals, experience and assistance. And I did, so I am pleased about that.
“But, in terms of the team, it was an unbelievable performance – We have to be happy for this amazing afternoon. We win 3-0.
“At a difficult stadium and against a difficult team. And we are so pleased for that and happy.”

Things have turned pretty ugly in North London and it’s no surprise that Nuno Espirito Santo is now out of the door.
The Spurs fans well and truly turned on the team, and their now-sacked manager, because of a number of decisions that were made by Nuno and certain player performances.
The Lucas Moura substitution didn’t help, and that happened at the start of the second half, which then filtered through the rest of the game.
Then, Harry Kane, who has probably been Tottenham’s best player during the last decade, was also booed by his own fans.
