Raul Jimenez has stated that Wolves knew Tottenham would ‘concede goals’ when they lose the ball, as he told BBC Sport.

Wolves rocked up to north London on Sunday afternoon and claimed all three points in the race to finish in the Champions League places this season.

Inside 20 minutes, Bruno Lage’s men were doing the business, with Jimenez opening the scoring with a sweet strike.

After such a strong start in the Premier League under Antonio Conte, they have now lost three league games on the bounce.

After the game, Jimenez praised his side’s performance, but also shared an interesting take on Tottenham with the ball at their feet.

“We knew this was a big opportunity for us to get back and continue doing what we know how to do,” said Jimenez.

“We came to play our game and we deserve the win. It was always the plan to come here and do our game with the ball and make them run. We knew we would have opportunities. We needed to capitalise and score the goals.

“We knew sometimes they concede goals from losing the ball when they are doing their game. We had those opportunities. We had troubles this season scoring but today we did what we wanted.

“We are always confidence. We know what we can do. We are in a good time and we can keep improving and go higher in the table. We are dreaming big.”

This defeat just outlines the problems facing Conte at the club and the tough task he has on his hands.

Tottenham are dreaming of Champions League football, but in truth, it might just not happen this term.

A number of new faces were brought in during the January transfer window.

But, whilst Conte probably knew it already, a lot more changes needed to be made because there is a reason why the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo got the sack.

It’s time the players took a large pool of responsibility because a number of them have been the issue over the years.
