Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hinted to the club’s official website that his side could be very busy in the summer.
Arsenal have disappointed this season and currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League table.
The Gunners have made progress more recently, as they have begun to climb up the table.
However, Arteta is under no illusions that quality needs to be added to his squad, if they are to start competing at the top end of the table again.
As a result Arsenal are planning a very busy summer, with Arteta excitedly claiming that recruitment plans are already in plans.
He said: “We will see. We are planning what’s going to happen in the summer. It will depend on where we finish, how we finish.
“I think what we have to in the summer is unprecedented for a club of this stature. To do the amount of transactions that we have to make it tells you as well where we are.

“I think it was very much needed and you want to improve, you want to do that. It’s where you have things in the house and you believe that you can improve on it. Externally acquiring players to go to the next level.
“Everything is planned and let’s see what the market can bring and what the last few months can bring to the club.”
It is not yet clear who Arsenal will sign this summer, although it is fairly easy to predict where they will be looking for players.
The Gunners will surely want another striker, while a left-back and a right-back are also likely to be on their shopping list.
Arsenal may well also try to purchase a back-up goalkeeper and a central midfielder, in what looks set to be a busy summer of additions, after Arteta’s latest comments.
