Leicester City are keen to sign exciting attacker Akinkunmi Amoo and, speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Hammarby director Jesper Jansson insisted that the youngster’s exit is ‘not impossible’.
From James Maddison to Caglar Soyuncu, Odsonne Edouard to Kieran Tierney, Raheem Sterling to Philippe Coutinho, there is no shortage of talented footballers who owe their careers to Brendan Rodgers.
The Leicester City boss is famed for his ability to turn untapped potential into proven, top-level matchwinners.
So you can see why Amoo, one of the most exciting young talents in the whole of Scandinavia, would be sorely tempted by a summer switch to the King Power Stadium.
Fotboll Direkt reports that Leicester are battling Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and the perennial talent-spotters Ajax in the race for Amoo’s signature.
While Jansson was keen to play things down, he did admit that a summer sale may be a possibility.
“We do not think much about it. It is clear that he is creating interest, but we are not focusing on that,” Jansson said. “We all have hope that he will continue to develop with us.

“It’s probably not impossible (that he leaves), but it’s not something we want. I want to be clear about that. The ambition is for us to see the players at Hammarby and see them play at Tele2 Arena and contribute here before they take the next step.
“You should never say never, but the ambition is to win football matches and be as good as possible, not just buy and sell.
“We have known (Amoo) for a long time. He has been exceptional in every way, but what has impressed is how much he has improved tactically, in the defensive game and in the pressing game. He has been terribly impressive.”
A skilful right-winger, Amoo has produced five goals in eight matches for Hammarby in the opening weeks of the new season.
