The Spanish coach made it clear that he is ‘grateful’ that such a ‘top club’ showed interest in him, but he is ‘even more grateful’ with the faith his current club have shown him.
It’s a major blow for Newcastle and one they don’t need in their now long-winded search to find a replacement for Steve Bruce.
