Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Kieran Tierney for the Gunners against Manchester City today.
What’s the story?
Arsenal have suffered an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at the hands of City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this afternoon.
The Gunners were reduced to 10 men after 35 minutes when Granit Xhaka was sent off.
Mikel Arteta’s side were poor defensively and could not do much at the other end.
What are Arsenal fans saying?
It was a very disappointing performance overall from Arsenal, but one player who did at least try was left-back Tierney.
As you can see from the tweets below, some Arsenal fans noticed it as well.
Tierney was deployed in a left wing-back role against Premier League champions City, and the left-back did not particularly look comfortable in the initial period.
However, the Scotland international did grow into the game, although he could not make the impact that he would have liked because City were so dominant.
The 24-year-old had to work hard defensively and had to cover space on the left.
Tierney played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 50%, took 34 touches, made eight clearances, and put in one cross.
