Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that Hans Vanaken wants to secure a transfer to West Ham United this summer, as he told Sky Sports News.
The Sky reporter added that West Ham are waiting to find out if their improved bid for the 30-year-old will either be accepted or rejected after David Moyes confirmed that they had gone back in for the player.
The new Premier League season hasn’t started as those at the London Stadium would have liked – they have lost their first three matches and they are yet to score a goal in the Premier League.

But that hasn’t stopped the Hammers from knocking the transfer door down to try and add quality to their ranks, with Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta also on their radar.
Transfer expert Sheth shared the latest news on Vanaken and how West Ham are willing to walk away if the deal doesn’t suit them.
“David Moyes actually confirmed that, not only had they made that first bid for Club Brugge midfielder, Hans Vanaken,” said Sheth. “He actually said that they made ‘an improved bid’ for that player.
“We are still waiting to find out if that bid has been accepted or rejected. We do know that Vanaken wants to come to West Ham United. He turned 30 (on Wednesday) and it kind of feels that this is his last opportunity to get a big move to the Premier League.
“But West Ham United, if they don’t get the deal that they want, then they are prepared to walk away from that deal.”

WEST HAM MIDFIELD STRUGGLING
There were signs towards the back end of last season and there have been signs during this campaign that Moyes needs to change his midfield.
Declan Rice is his key midfielder, but his partner in crime, Tomas Soucek, has struggled and probably needs to be replaced in the XI.
Dipping into the transfer market and bringing a quality midfielder or two would help their cause as well as add some much-needed competition to the squad.
The summer transfer window is set to slam shut next week and West Ham are expected to be big contributors to what will unfold.
