Terry Butcher told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that Pablo Hernandez disappeared in the second half of Leeds United”s 3-0 FA Cup upset to Crawley Town.

The former England captain shared that the Leeds playmaker was ‘magnificent’ during the first 45 minutes, but ‘we didn’t see him’ after that.

Marcelo Bielsa played a number of first-team players against the League Two side, but that couldn’t prevent Leeds from suffering an embarrassing defeat.

Butcher shared his thoughts on Leeds’ defeat and Hernandez’s performance on the day.

“They tested Leeds out,” said Butcher. “They tested their metal and Leeds had no answer.

“Hernandez, who was magnificent in the first half, we didn’t see him in the second-half and they didn’t really have a shot on target in the second half.

“The BBC cameraman behind the goal was more in danger of being hit by the ball than the back of the net. In the end, they deserve to go through.”

It’s back to Premier League action for Leeds and trying to ensure this defeat doesn’t affect their league form.

Whilst Leeds have wowed supporters with their attacking performances, they have had their fair share of problems from a defensive standpoint.

If they continue to score goals then it won’t be much of a problem but they cannot afford to fall into a hole because their defence won’t bail them out judging by how they have been performing this season.
