Speaking to the Highbury Squad YouTube Channel, Kevin Campbell has had his say on the Christian Eriksen to Arsenal reports after a swap deal involving Granit Xhaka was rumoured.

Eriksen to Arsenal would have sounded unthinkable this time last year as the Dane was one of Tottenham’s best players.

However, in January he swapped north London for Milan.

It’s fair to say that his time in Italy hasn’t gone to plan, with the Dane admitting that life at San Siro isn’t what he dreamed it would be.

His torrid time at the Nerazzurri could lead to Eriksen heading to Arsenal.

Reports earlier this week claimed that the Gunners could offer Inter a swap deal including Xhaka, and Campbell certainly likes the idea.

“He makes us better, that’s what I think. No disrespect to Granit Xhaka, but I think Christian Eriksen is a better player than Granit Xhaka, and he’s got more to his game going forward than Granit Xhaka,” Campbell said when asked about Arsenal signing Eriksen.

“We’re talking about not being creative as we could be, we know what Eriksen brings to the table, especially his dead balls, his through balls, he scores goals as well.

“We know he’s played for the opposition, but I don’t really care, he’s not there now, he’s left there, he’s gone to Inter Milan. It’s not worked out and we could make this happen, why not?”

Eriksen to Arsenal seems like a deal that Campbell is a fan of, so will it happen?

The Xhaka and Eriksen swap does sound like a deal that is too good to be true, but Inter are reportedly open to selling the Dane in January, so it’s not out of the question.

Whether or not this deal comes to fruition remains to be seen, but if Arsenal end up signing Eriksen, it would arguably spark the biggest meltdown at Tottenham since Sol Campbell joined the Gunners.
