QPR were humiliated 7-1 by West Brom on Saturday and Steve McClaren has shared his views on the heavy defeat.

Queens Park Rangers boss Steve McClaren has admitted his side ‘collapsed’ after their abysmal second-half showing in the 7-1 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The 57-year-old witnessed his side concede a flurry of late goals, and the defeat means QPR have lost their opening three league games for the first time in their history.
“It was an unacceptable second half. In the first half we went a goal down but reacted well. We changed our tactics, we competed and ended the first half on top,” McClaren told QPR’s official page.
“We got the equaliser and I did not see that coming at half-time. That’s shocked me. We made two mistakes at the start of the second half and suddenly it’s 3-1, then we collapsed.

“It’s unacceptable. It’s not acceptable for us, it’s not acceptable for the players, it’s not acceptable for the fans. I apologise to them,” he added.
The former Derby County and Newcastle United boss has endured a difficult start in west London and will need to get some wins under his belt as soon as possible. Rangers face Bristol City at Loftus Road on Tuesday and know they must get a positive result. Failure to do so will increase the pressure on McClaren.
The R’s faithful will likely be questioning the board’s decision to remove Ian Holloway with McClaren’s appointment already looking like a bad move. The Hoops boss can buy himself some time at least if he can craft QPR’s first win of the season on Tuesday, but his long-term future looks uncertain.
