Tottenham fans on Twitter shared how they could only ‘dream’ of signing a player like Joshua Kimmich after Jose Mourinho was full of praise for the Bayern Munich star.
Mourinho thinks that Kimmich, who is preparing for the Champions League final against PSG tonight, is a ‘phenomenal’ player, as he told Goal.
Kimmich, 25, can operate in various positions from playing at right-back to playing a holding role for his side.
During Bayern Munich’s semi-final thrashing of Lyon last time out, the German started as a right-sided fullback before dropping into the midfield in the second half.
Any team in the world, including Spurs, would save millions and do so much more with a player of his quality and versatility in their side.
Spurs quite clearly have no chance in landing the Bundesliga champion despite Mourinho needing a right-back this summer.
Whilst Mourinho wasn’t in charge at the time, Spurs fans have got a taste of what Kimmich is all about when the North London club faced Bayern Munich during the Champions League group stages earlier on in the season.
He netted during their 7-2 rout in London and he is now one game away from becoming a Champions League winner for the first time in his career.
Whilst Munich’s battering of Spurs would have hurt at the time, it doesn’t look too bad now considering they put eight past Barcelona.
Not only that, but they could also go on to win the whole thing, so whilst it wasn’t pleasant for the Tottenham faithful to watch that drubbing, at least it could be to a team that may become champions of Europe.
Either way, just like Mourinho, the Spurs faithful admire Kimmich too, but he is a player way out of their league.
