Paul Gilmour told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports (18/08/21 at 5:05 pm) that Harry Kane ‘won’t kick up a fuss’ if he was asked to play for Tottenham against Wolves this Sunday.

The Sky reporter shared that the England captain still wants to leave Tottenham for Manchester City.

Spurs are due to compete in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, but once again, their star man was left out of the travelling party that is now in Portugal.

Gilmour shared that call was a decision taken by ‘all parties’ as he continues to build up his fitness in North London.

“He is just continuing with his fitness, we are led to believe,” said Gilmour. “This decision was taken by all parties, but nothing has changed. Kane still wants to leave and Manchester City still want to buy him.

“Normally, if there is any chance of a big transfer, not to mention a British transfer, that is probably the wise option behind the scenes (to leave a player out).

“Albeit, we are being told that it is for fitness reasons and he could be expected to play some part against Wolves if called upon.

“We are told Kane won’t kick up a fuss (for the Wolves game) and refuse to play at the weekend if he is called upon, but the question is will he be called upon?”

If Kane isn’t taking part in Tottenham’s first leg play-off against Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League then that perhaps indicates there is something in the waters.

It was obvious he wasn’t going to feature against Manchester City because he hardly had any training sessions under his belt.

But that can’t be the excuse now and if he doesn’t feature against Wolves then that surely indicates towards Daniel Levy looking to replace his star striker.

Either way, this whole saga has been a bit of a mess and it seems as though Kane hasn’t come out of this in a good light.
