Emerson Palmieri has told West Ham United’s incoming rumoured signing, Lucas Paqueta, on his Instagram story, ‘we are together’ after wishing him Happy Birthday.
The Lyon midfielder turned 25 on Saturday and he might well be celebrating the next passage of his career in West Ham colours if his transfer goes through before next week’s deadline.
It has been suggested that Paqueta will undergo a medical on Sunday – and if he signs on the dotted line, then he will be a much-needed addition to the club’s midfield.

The Hammers have lost all three of their opening Premier League matches, failing to score a goal, although they have had positive light in Europe in between.
David Moyes will be hoping his previously overachieving players can transform their form from Europe into the Premier League ahead of their visit to Aston Villa on Sunday.
New summer signings Gianluca Scamacca and Maxwel Cornet could be handed their first Premier League starts in the Midlands for the Hammers, as well as a possible debut for Palmieri.
Nonetheless, this is the message the left-back posted on his IG story to his next possible teammate: ‘Congratulations brother. May God bless you always. Seize your day. We are together brother’.

PAQUETA WILL BE A TOP SIGNING
West Ham’s midfield needs refreshing, or in a better way, that competition is needed because players like Tomas Soucek have gone backwards.
Declan Rice will always remain a key member of Moyes’ XI, but a potential partnership alongside Paqueta might just help take the club to the next level.
The Hammers are in Europe again, and with the likes of Newcastle United and Brighton charging this season, as well as the usual suspects, if Moyes wants his team to maintain their current status, then they need to use the transfer market to improve.
Paqueta is a similar player to Newcastle United’s new hero, Bruno Guimaraes, and if the Brazil star can have the same impact his national teammate has had at St James’ Park, then he will be a top, top purchase.
