Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Josip Juranovic will miss numerous weeks of football due to injury.
Speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Europa League clash against Bayer Leverkusen, the Australian coach announced that the defender will go into rehab after limping off against Dundee United on Sunday.
The £2.5m signing from Legia Warsaw has hardly kicked a ball with Celtic since arriving from Poland this summer. Juranovic is one of multiple players currently out with injury at the Hoops.
As well as the Croatian international, captain Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi are also unavailable for tomorrow’s clash against the Bundesliga side.
Postecoglou said about Juranovic’s injury” “After the weekend’s game, Josip is out with his hamstring and he’ll go into rehab for a couple of weeks.”
Indeed, it is a huge blow for the Celtic boss, whose tenure with the Scottish giants has been plagued with injury issues and physical setbacks to numerous first-team players.

And on social media, Celtic fans were fuming about the latest update on Juranovic. The defender was one of multiple players to sign for the club this summer, yet supporters have hardly had a moment to watch the 26-year-old in full.
Here’s what some Celtic fans had to say on Twitter about Juranovic facing a few weeks out due to injury…
