Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours they are about to nab West Brom’s talented youngster, Tim Iroegbunam.
The Birmingham Mail claim that West Brom’s Academy Player of the Year is set to make the short trip across the Midlands to Villa Park.
This is Louie Barry part two, but just without the small trip to Barcelona in between because Villa’s academy is beginning to look frightening once more.
You would think Villa’s Academy Manager, Mark Harrison, and the club’s head of talent identification, Steve Hopcroft, would have played a huge part in this because it wasn’t so long ago that they were donning West Brom colours.
This is Villa flexing their muscle in and around the Midlands area once more and their supporters are loving it.
Iroegbunam is a midfielder by trade and he will be teaming up with some serious talent in that department for Villa.
From the light-footed and dazzling teenage superstar, Carney Chukwuemeka, to the commanding and precise, Arjan Raikhy, this is a Villa team packed with talent now.
That was proven when they won the FA Youth Cup last season and there’s no reason why they cannot go again next term.
But whilst the first team continues to progress and get the limelight, slowly but surely, the club is building a gold mine underneath the gems at the top.
