Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing that Michael Oliver will oversee the Premier League clash against Leicester this Saturday.

What’s the story?

Well, the Arsenal fans certainly aren’t happy with this news.

In our view, Oliver is one of the better referees in the Premier League, although you can understand why Arsenal fans are worried.

The Gunners have won just 18 of 43 games officiated by Oliver, losing 15.

Only Crystal Palace with 19 defeats have lost more games under Oliver’s watchful eye.

Additionally, the 36-year-old has handed Arsenal more yellow cards than he has to any other side throughout his career as a referee with 78 bookings.

On the 43 occasions he has officiated a game involving Arsenal, Oliver has also given the north Londoners just four penalties.

Clearly, the Gunners don’t have much luck when Oliver is around.

Sadly for Mikel Arteta, he takes his side to the King Power Stadium at a terrible time, as Leicester have finally found some form.

Brendan Rodgers has overseen four wins in a row, having recorded just one win in seven games beforehand – the Foxes are off and running.

However, Arsenal are currently on an excellent run themselves, so it should be an exciting game on Saturday.

Arteta has guided his side to six wins from their last eight games, drawing the other two as Arsenal embark on an unbeaten run.

After a shocking start to the campaign, things are finally looking up.

For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Oliver’s appointment for the Leicester clash…
