Some Everton fans on social media aren’t best impressed after they were linked with a move for Aston Villa’s Marvelous Nakamba.
Now, the Zimbabwe international isn’t a bad player by any stretch, but the reality is that Everton need to be aiming higher than a player who can’t even break into the Villa starting XI on a regular basis.
The Mail linked the Toffees with a move for the midfielder, and it’s fair to say Everton fans aren’t impressed by this link.
Indeed, the fanbase took to social media to air their grievances, and they didn’t hold back.
Perhaps it’s an underlying frustration with the direction of the club after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, but by the looks of things Everton fans weren’t happy at all with the idea of bringing Nakamba in.
Who knows, perhaps Nakamba could shine at Everton after underperforming at Villa in the same way as Idrissa Gueye, but it seems as though this signing wouldn’t be welcomed by many Toffees supporters.
