Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the news that Diogo Jota will not play for the Reds again this season.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said yesterday that Jota suffered an injury against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League last week.
The Portugal international forward, signed from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, did not play against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
Ahead of the match, Liverpool manager Klopp said that the 24-year-old had suffered a foot injury against United and will not feature again this season.
Liverpool’s official website quotes Klopp as saying: “No good thing without a bad thing – so, we won at Manchester United but Diogo got something with the bone. Not too serious but serious enough to end the season. That’s it.”
Liverpool won against West Brom without Jota, but the Reds needed a late goal from goalkeeper Alisson to pick up all three points from the encounter.
The Merseyside club will face Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday and then Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday.
Jota had a long-term injury earlier this season, and when the forward has played, he has done well.

The 24-year-old has made 12 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season, scoring nine goals in the process.
The former Wolves star also made six starts and three substitute appearances in the Champions League for the Reds this campaign, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process.
Some Liverpool fans have given their take on the season-ending injury suffered by Jota.
