
Some Liverpool fans have been reacting after it was reported that they could sell Nat Phillips this summer.
The Reds have signed Ibrahima Konate to help with their depth issues at centre-half, and with Konate’s arrival pushing Phillips further down the pecking order, it seems as though the Reds are ready to cash in on him.
Phillips has just enjoyed a brilliant season for the Reds, finishing third on the club’s Player of the Year voting, but despite his fantastic displays, the Merseyside outfit are prepared to sell him.
As you can imagine, the fanbase had plenty to say about this, and it’s fair to say that they were less than impressed by the idea of letting Phillips go.
Indeed, the Anfield faithful aren’t keen to see Phillips sold, and to be fair, we can understand why.
Phillips may not be the biggest of names, but Liverpool fans voted him as their third best player last term, and selling anyone who makes the top three of your Player of the Year voting seems to be counter-productive.
