The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder hasn’t featured since November 10th.

Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media today, ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Inter Milan, and responded when asked how close Victor Wanyama is to returning to action, as quoted by Football.London.
The Kenyan has suffered rotten luck with injuries, since joining Spurs from Southampton for £11.5 million in the summer of 2016, and he has gone on to make just 44 Premier League starts for Pochettino’s side.
Wanyama faces an uncertain future at Tottenham, with the Sun reporting that Poch is willing to listen to offers for the midfielder in January.
The 27-year-old is currently behind Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Mousa Dembele in the midfield pecking order at Spurs, so the games he has missed through injury have certainly not helped his cause.
Pochettino spoke to reporters today, and delivered a fairly downbeat update on Wanyama’s injury problems, as quoted by Football.London:

“We are always worried if it’s a big or small issue because of how that problem is going to develop. That’s the most important thing. Now we are waiting. We will see what happens. He’s not training with the group and he’s out. We’ll see, we need to wait to give a better update about his problem.”
On his day, Wanyama can be a real asset for Tottenham, but his inconsistency and poor record with injuries might just convince Pochettino to part ways with the former Southampton man in January.
And at the moment, Spurs are really not missing him.
