‘We appreciate you’: Aston Villa player loves what 27-year-old Leeds man has done

Aston Villa defender, Kortney Hause, has praised Leeds United striker, Patrick Bamford, for his comments on racism.

On Monday night, Bamford, 27, claimed that it’s ‘a shame’ that there isn’t this much uproar towards racism than there has been towards this proposed and now collapsed European Super League, as he told Sky Sports.

On Sky Sports Instagram page, where they posted the Leeds man’s quotes, a number of players reacted to Bamford’s comments, including Villa’s backup defender, Hause.

He simply posted: “We appreciate you,”.

Added with that, ex-Leeds man, Kemar Roofe, posted on his Instagram story “Man like Robin with the big interview.”

And ex-Manchester City and Holland midfielder, Nigel de Jong, posted this two-word message on his Instagram story: “The realist,”.

On Sunday, six English clubs, including teams across Europe were planning on a breakaway league.

And before this week is out, everything has collapsed and owners are issuing apologies.

The reaction from players, pundits, governments, teams, governing bodies and supporters has been remarkable.

Yet, that energy cannot be used when it comes to racial abuse. It took 48 hours to stamp out this proposed ESL, yet that same power won’t be used to stop exactly what Bamford rightly mentioned.
