A number of West Bromwich Albion and Rotherham United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news of Semi Ajayi joining the Baggies (official WBA website).

The 25-year-old defender becomes West Brom’s second permanent signing in two days, joining from the Millers on a four-year contract, for an undisclosed fee.

According to The Express & Star, The Hawthorns side have paid Rotherham an initial fee in the region of £1.5million rising to a potential £2million with add-ons.

Ajayi made 108 appearances for the South Yorkshire side following a move from Cardiff City in July 2017, helping them win promotion to the Championship, and has made upwards of 150 career appearances.

He is West Brom’s the third signing of the summer after 23-year-old Filip Krovinovic joined on a season-long loan from Benfica and Kenneth Zohore arrived from Cardiff earlier this week.

Here is what some Albion fans on the social media platform have said about Ajayi’s arrival at The Hawthorns:

Some Rotherham fans expressed their sadness at seeing him go but wished him all the best following his swift return to the Championship:
