The Baggies attacker scored a great goal for the Hawthorns side against Brentford in the Championship last term.

West Bromwich Albion winger Kyle Edwards has taken to Twitter with a message following his side’s pre-season trip to Spain and received a response from Baggies legend and former manager Jimmy Shan with a glowing assessment.
The 21-year-old attacker came through the ranks at The Hawthorns and made 11 senior appearances last season, including six in the Championship, and scored twice, including a superb solo effort against Brentford in the league in mid-March for a 1-0 away win.
With his West Brom contract taking him until the summer of 2020 having renewed it 18 months ago (official WBA website), Edwards will be hoping to impress Slaven Bilic this term, break into the first team and extend his tenure at The Hawthorns.
And judging by Shan’s assessment on the social media, it looks as though he is very much on track, with “all that potential” just needing to be refined and turned into a product:
A number of Baggies fans also responded to Edwards’ tweet and wished him all the best for the upcoming season:
Edwards also enjoyed a fruitful stint at League Two side Exeter City in 2017-18 in which he made close to 30 appearances in all competitions and scored twice, including a great goal in the playoff final at Wembley against Coventry City.
