The Baggies boss Slaven Bilic seems to have brought a real gem to The Hawthorns in the shape of his fellow Croatian.
A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Filip Krovinovic’s display in the goalless draw against Bournemouth in pre-season.
The 23-year-old impressed many Baggies supporters when he came off the bench against Rotherham United and, on Friday night, was given the chance to impress at The Hawthorns from the off by Slaven Bilic.
Krovinovic, Zohore and Matt Phillips all combined well on several occasions, and even though it could be argued that West Brom lacked the cutting edge in the final third, they nonetheless delivered a solid performance and did well defensively too.
Nonetheless, the Croatian playmaker’s display got yet more rave reviews from the Baggies faithful, with some of the comments on social media displayed below:
Krovinovic joined West Brom from Portuguese giants Benfica on a season-long loan deal, compatriot Bilic’s first signing since his appointment to The Hawthorns dugout (BBC Sport).
Up next for the Baggies is their Championship 2019-20 season opener away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday 3 August – and judging by how well he’s done so far, Albion fans will be hoping he can be their catalyst for promotion come next May.
