The Baggies legend impressed as manager at The Hawthorns and many fans weren’t happy with his dismissal back in March.

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to wish Darren Moore all the best following his appointment as Doncaster Rovers manager.
The former Baggies boss, who played for Rovers in the 1990s, takes over from Grant McCann at the Keepmoat Stadium, after he left to take over at Hull City.
Moore initially took the reins at The Hawthorns on a caretaker basis in April 2018 with the team 10 points from safety at the bottom of the Premier League with six games left (BBC Sport).
Although top-flight survival was unfortunately a bridge too far between when Moore took the reins and the end of the campaign, he did well in the circumstances, going undefeated in April, beating Manchester United and picking up the Premier League Manager of the Month award.
The following season in the Championship, Moore had the Baggies challenging for promotion, but due to a bad run of home games in the latter stages of the campaign, he was sacked in March (BBC Sport), a decision which proved very controversial amongst some fans and pundits.

Here is what some West Brom fans wrote on the social media platform about Moore’s new role:
