The Baggies legend left The Hawthorns this summer and remains without a club.

West Bromwich Albion cult hero James Morrison has given his thoughts on the club now he is no longer an employee and his comments – the interview published by the Birmingham Mail – went down very well with the Baggies faithful.
The 33-year-old made 341 appearances across a 12-year spell at The Hawthorns after joining from Middlesbrough in 2007, but was released at the end of last season and remains without a club.
Nonetheless, Morrison was the subject of goodwill by West Brom this week as he returned to The Hawthorns as special guest for Albion’s game against Reading on Wednesday night.
In addition, the matchday programme was dedicated to Morrison, who featured on the front cover as a comic book hero with the captions ’Oh Jimmy Jimmy’ and ‘Thank you Mozza’.
“I’m a supporter now really,” Morrison told the Birmingham Mail. “I always check on the results and when I can get down it’s nice to come and show some support and give it back to the club that supported me.
“Sometimes I’m a bit shy and don’t want the fuss around me, but it’s nice. I never would have expected this when I started my West Brom career. It’s an achievement in itself really, not everyone gets it… (the fans) are the ones who make you really. As long as you do your job and people can see that, they’ll support you at this club.”
Several Albion fans took to Twitter to pay tribute to Morrison’s time at The Hawthorns and some urged the club to offer him a coaching role, or at least let him train with the team:
Up next for West Brom is Saturday’s early Championship kickoff against Derby County at Pride Park.
