Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sean Clare has starred in Jos Luhukay’s side this term, attracting plenty of Premier League interest.
Football website TeamTalk have reported that Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are just two of a handful of English sides tracking Sheffield Wednesday youngster Sean Clare ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has shone in Jos Luhukay’s side since breaking into the first team in January, after spending the first half of the season on loan with League One side Gillingham.
The versatile midfielder, who is predominantly a right winger but can do a job in central midfield and at right-back, made 26 appearances for Gillingham earlier in the season before featuring in three of Wednesday’s last five league games.
The 6ft 2in ace even started against Derby and last time out against Aston Villa, scoring one of Wednesday’s two goals in a 4-2 loss to Steve Bruce’s automatic-promotion chasing side.
His breakthrough into the first team has alerted Premier League clubs Tottenham, Everton, Southampton and Leicester City, while Championship Norwich City and Sunderland are also said to be keen.

Mauricio Pochettino has placed his faith in the likes of Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli while other youngsters continue to show promise – such as Reo Griffiths, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Juan Foyth.
But Everton’s desire to blood their youngsters would make the Toffees a better home due to the better chance of first-team football. Tom Davies, Mason Holgate, Dom Calvert-Lewin, Jonjoe Kenny and more are integral parts of the Everton squad.
If Clare had the option of both clubs, Everton should be his choice.
