Rangers boss Graeme Murty was originally in charge at Ibrox until the new year.

Rangers have announced on their official website that Graeme Murty will remain in charge of the side until the end of the 2017-18 campaign, after first being given job until the new year – and Ibrox fans are not happy.
The 43-year-old took over from Pedro Caixinha after the Portuguese boss was sacked in October, and has remained in charge for nine games, winning six of those including a double over Aberdeen and a win at Easter Road against Hibernian.
He was given the job until the new year but now Rangers have announced on their website that he will remain in charge until the end of the 2017-18 season, with the Gers proud of the work he has done.

The Light Blues now sit in third place and eight points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic, while Aberdeen sit ahead of the Gers in second and two points better off with claims that a Scottish Premiership title race is on the cards.
However, fans are not happy with the appointment of the former Reading defender, as many want a more experienced head to be given the role at one of the biggest clubs in the world while some were frustrated that it took so long to appoint Caixinha’s successor.
One fan even described the decision as “absolutely embarrassing” on Twitter.
