Rangers fans react as Josh Windass reportedly signs new deal

Rangers have reportedly handed Ibrox star Josh Windass a new contract.

Rangers attacker Josh Windass has reportedly agreed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with Graeme Murty’s side as he continues to shine for the Light Blues this season – and fans are delighted on Twitter.

The Glasgow Evening Times have claimed 24-year-old Windass has put pen to paper on a contract that will see him remain at Ibrox until the summer of 2021.

This comes just days after right-back James Tavernier signed a new contract; the same length as former Accrington Stanley attacker Windass’ reported deal.

Windass has been in excellent form for the Gers this season, scoring 12 goals and adding eight assist to his tally in just 30 games after Graeme Murty converted the midfielder into a striker.

Rangers fans were overjoyed at the news that Windass has committed his foreseeable future with the Gers, amid speculative reports in January that English sides were after his signature.

One fan believes the deal means Rangers will get the “money we deserve” when both Tavernier and Windass do eventually decide to leave Ibrox.
