Tottenham will be without Harry Kane against Manchester United.

Don Hutchinson celebrates with team mates during the West Ham v Watford Match at The Boleyn Ground, Upton Park on May 1, 2004 in London.

Don Hutchison believes Mauricio Pochettino will hand Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele a recall to the starting line-up to face Manchester United after Harry Kane was ruled out.

Kane, 24, has failed to overcome a hamstring strain he suffered last Sunday against Liverpool, which saw him miss Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup defeat to London rivals West Ham.

Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur looks on during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on October 22, 2017 in London, England.

Spanish striker Fernando Llorente is expected to replace the England international as a like-for-like replacement, but former Everton and Liverpool ace Hutchison has other ideas.

He claimed on his personal Twitter account that 30-year-old midfielder Dembele would come into the side to replace Kane, while attacker Son Heung-Min would be used as a false nine against Jose Mourinho’s United.

Dembele was given 18 minutes game time as a substitute during the 3-2 loss on Wednesday night, after missing Spurs’ last four games with an ankle injury.

Spurs will be looking to leapfrog United into second place in the Premier League table, with both sides currently on 20 points and five behind first-placed Manchester City.
