Harry Kane has been repeatedly linked with a move from Tottenham to Real Madrid.

Former West Ham striker Carlton Cole has told Goal.com that he feels Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will only gain world-class recognition if he joins Real Madrid or Barcelona.
The Times reported that Tottenham chairman values 24-year-old Kane at a larger price than Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, who joined the French giants from Barcelona this summer for around £200milion.
The debate over whether Kane is world class or not has many contrasting views, but Cole believes he will not earn such a reputation until he joins a “bigger club”.

Cole compared Kane’s position to Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, who both left Tottenham and are now considered world class. The ex-Chelsea target man believes Kane should follow suit to Real Madrid, or instead go to Barcelona.
“Bale is world class now. Hopefully Kane can get to that level,” Cole said. “It would be nice to see him at a bigger club. Spurs are not the biggest club in the world. At Barcelona or Madrid, he can quickly prove that he is world class.
“Modric made that jump and he was quickly branded world class. In the Premier League, he wasn’t put in that category. Sometimes moving clubs can help. Doing it at more than one club proves that you can do it anywhere.”

England international Kane has quickly become Spurs’ most important player with his goals for the north Londoners, winning the Premier League golden boot in both 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Spurs’ number 10, Kane, faces a fight to prove his fitness to face Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men look to qualify for the last 16 of the competition.
