Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane made history for England on Thursday night.
The Spurs ace and Three Lions captain became the all-time record goalscorer for the men’s national side.
Kane had been tied with former Manchester United and Everton striker Wayne Rooney on 53 goals.

He had equalled Rooney’s record with his goal in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final against France.
Kane subsequently missed a penalty in the match to stay put on 53 until the latest international break.
However, the 29-year-old claimed the record for his own against reigning European champions Italy.
Kane fired home a penalty shortly before half-time in the Euro 2024 qualifier in Naples.
The Tottenham ace’s spot-kick made it 2-0 after Declan Rice had opened the scoring on 13 minutes.
Rooney subsequently took to Twitter with a message for the Spurs and England talisman.
Amazingly, Kane has managed to earn the title of top goal scorer in 39 games fewer than his predecessor.
The Spurs star now leads a group of six Englishmen to have scored more than 40 international goals, as per BBC Sport.
Of those, only Jimmy Greaves scored his at a faster rate – one every 1.3 games, compared with Kane’s 1.5.
Sir Bobby Charlton, with 49 goals, held the record for 45 years until Rooney surpassed him in 2015.

Kane’s record tally includes the six goals at the 2018 World Cup which helped him win the Golden Boot.
The award made him only the third Englishman to top the scoring charts at a major international tournament.
Gary Lineker won the Golden Boot at the 1986 World Cup, while Alan Shearer topped the charts at Euro 1996.
Kane has also broken some other England records, including scoring 16 goals for his country in a calendar year in 2021.
