Manchester United have a number of young players coming through, and Old Trafford legend Wayne Rooney has been particularly impressed with one of them.
Kobbie Mainoo is only 18 now and is just starting his career. But, the midfielder has already established himself as an important player in the Manchester United first team.
And, Wayne Rooney has been hugely impressed. The United legend has said that Mainoo is an incredible player and has a bright future.
The TNT Sports pundit has compared Mainoo, who is in line for a new contract with United, to Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Schweinsteiger did not have the best of times during his time at United, but he is a legendary footballer who was a massive success at Bayern Munich and for Germany.
The 39-year-old retired midfielder won the Bundesliga title eight times, the UEFA Champions League once, and the FIFA World Cup in 2014.
Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo compared to Bastian Schweinsteiger
Rooney told TNT Sports about Mainoo: “I think he’s incredible for such a young age, with the maturity he’s shown.”
The United legend continued: “When you see any young players come into the first team they’re normally a bit raw or play off the cuff.
“He reminds me of a young Bastian Schweinsteiger with how he plays, and he always seems to make the right decisions. He has a very bright future.”
My View: Let us be patient with Kobbie Mainoo
In my opinion, Manchester United fans should be patient with Kobbie Mainoo and should not get carried away.
I rate the midfielder highly. He is only 18 now and is playing like a hugely experienced player. He has been very impressive.
But we should not forget that Mainoo is just 18 at the moment. He is not the finished article yet and is still progressing and developing as a footballer.
We have to let him grow and develop at his own pace. We must not heap too much pressure on the teenager.
Mainoo has scored one goal in 14 Premier League matches for United this season. The midfielder has also played 42 minutes in the UEFA Champions League and has scored one goal in two starts and one substitute appearance in the FA Cup.
