Wayne Rooney has said on talkSPORT (9:22am, November 11, 2022) that he does not want Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to sign Jude Bellingham and hopes that the midfielder moves to his former club Manchester United instead.
Bellingham is one of the best young players in the world and has been linked with Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City among other clubs.
Earlier this month, ESPN reported that Liverpool are leading the race to sign Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023.
Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City all are interested in the 19-year-old midfielder as well, according to the report.
Wayne Rooney on Liverpool target Jude Bellingham
Rooney said when asked about Manchester United potentially signing Bellingham: “I hope so. I hope he doesn’t go to Liverpool or City.
“I am sure they are doing their work. He is probably the hottest youngster in world football at the minute, and I am sure United are looking at him as well.”

Transfer battle
In our opinion, it is not going to be easy for Liverpool to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023.
Yes, Liverpool are a massive club and are a global brand, but the Reds are facing some stiff competition for the teenager.
Real Madrid are arguably the biggest club in the world, and they won the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League last season.
Manchester City are a massive force in football as well and can pay Bellingham a huge salary.
