Manchester United striker recalls Pogba’s bruising impact in training.
France’s Paul Pogba
Paul Pogba continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United although a deal is not done yet.
A move is in the pipeline, continuing to be discussed between the club and Juventus, and United striker Wayne Rooney has given his view on a deal, speaking to The Mail.

Rooney is hoping Pogba comes back to Old Trafford, but admits a concern about having to go up against the Frenchman in training each day.
He remembers Pogba’s impact during his time as at the club a youngster well.
The England captain said: “He was one of those players who, when you trained against him, somehow he would just hurt you. A knee in your side, bump into you, I don’t think he meant to do it, but it just happened.
“You didn’t even need to get into a tackle. Just go next to him and you’d find an elbow or some other sharp bit. So, if he comes, I’m looking forward to that again! But he had great ability, some of the things he could do, and he’s gone up a level since he left us.”

Rooney can hope that Pogba has refined his approach over the past four years, but ultimately he is a player he will be delighted to go into battle with.
It still hurts at United that they were unable to hang onto Pogba in 2012, and they are willing to spend big to put it right – and hopefully put the club back on track towards the Premier League title.
