Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is currently 34 goals behind Wayne Rooney’s England scoring record.

Rooney has been brought back into the England squad this week, for Gareth Southgate’s side’s friendly against USA, after retiring from international football.
The send off has been a rather controversial move, but Rooney feels that in a decade’s time, England could be doing the same again for Spurs striker Kane.
He said: “I hope, in 10 or 15 years’ time, we’re sat here for someone like Harry Kane, who could possibly go on and get the goalscoring record, and it will be something that happens again.”

Kane has established himself as England’s biggest scoring threat, following his consistently excellent form for Tottenham over a number of seasons.
The 25-year-old looks sure to play a key role for the Three Lions for years to come, as his goalscoring form at Tottenham continues to be spectacular.
Kane has netted 10 goals in 16 appearances for Spurs this term, despite questions marks over how fresh he is.
Kane also has 19 goals for England to date, leaving him 34 strikes behind Rooney’s record.
