Wayne Rooney is eyeing up a move back to Everton as a coach.

Rooney had two stints at Everton as a player and still holds the club he developed at in high regard.
The striker only left Goodison Park in 2018, but he is already eyeing a return to Everton as a coach in the future.
He said, when asked if he’d like to go back to the Toffees and start his coaching career: “At Everton? It would be nice. You love your family unconditionally. It’s like that with Everton. It’s the team I’ll always love and grew up supporting. That’s in you.”
Everton fans would surely be receptive to taking Rooney back in a coaching role, given his vast experience in the game.

Rooney is currently playing football in America for DC United and he has done an impressive job in MLS.
Rooney has scored 20 goals in 35 appearances for DC so far.
The former Everton man has not announced his retirement plans, but he is now 33, so may not play for too many more years.
