Some Arsenal fans on social media have been waxing-lyrical about Folarin Balogun after yet another terrific performance for the U23s.
When it comes to U23 football, there may not be a better player in England than Balogun at the moment. He’s netted nine goals in seven PL2 appearances, and he was at it again on Friday evening.
It should come as no shock to hear that the US-born striker scored against Leeds’ youth side, but the fact that he also got an assist and hit the post shows that there are other sides to his game.
Inevitably, this young man’s performance once again caught the eye of the Arsenal fanbase who’ve been clamouring for him to play some senior football.
Balogun does seem to have transcended the PL2 and while he may not be ready to lead the line at Arsenal, a move on loan does seem to be the logical next step for the number nine.
