Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers are reportedly keen to sign Andre Gray from Premier League outfit and FA Cup finalists Watford.

Andre Gray does not sound like a man angling for a move to Rangers despite Watford’s FA Cup final humiliation, as reported by The Standard.
The Glasgow Evening Times broke the shock news earlier in May that Steven Gerrard was hoping to snap up the £18 million striker on loan for the 2019/20 season, even if his wages were apparently beyond their budget.
But you could hardly blame the former Liverpool captain for trying. Rangers have made great strides under Gerrard, beating Celtic twice at Ibrox in the last six months, and they need to make a couple of top class additions if they want to wrestle back the Scottish Premiership title.
Even though Gray has largely struggled for goals since joining Watford from Burnley in a club-record deal in 2017, the 27-year-old has the raw talent to be a revelation north of the border.
Speaking to The Standard, however, Gray suggests that he is keen to stay on after an impressive season at Vicarage Road, albeit one that ended in heartbreak with a 6-0 thrashing at Wembley.

“We need to stick with the core of the squad,” said the former Brentford and Luton striker. “Obviously, we are going to add players and probably lose players. But I just think it is important to keep the core.
“We have got the spirit there now. It is important to keep that and push ourselves on from this season.”
While Gray has not implicitly said that he wants to stay, it is pretty clear reading between the lines that he is keen to continue his journey at an ambitious Watford side who have a talented group of players capable of really pushing on if they all stick together.
