We rate Watford’s performance in their 2-1 win over Leicester City.

Heurelho Gomes – 6/10
A quiet afternoon thanks to some brave blocks from his teammates. Dealt well with any crosses.
Sebastian Prodl – 7/10
Given a tough time by Jamie Vardy early on, but recovered well to help subdue the Leicester forward.
Younes Kaboul – 8/10
Commanding performance from the centre-back. Looked Watford’s biggest threat from set pieces.
Miguel Britos – 7/10
His clumsy tackle on Vardy allowed the Foxes back into the game. Not shy to throw his body on the line in the second half.
Daryl Janmaat – 7/10
A real handful with Amrabat down the right hand side. Played in a wonderful ball for Pereyra in the 64th minute, which the Argentine should have scored from.
Carlos Zuniga – 5/10
Was given a tough time in the first half by the pace and trickery of Riyad Mahrez. Better after the break and managed to offer a threat going forward.
Valon Behrami – 6/10
Tidy and understated performance. Did a solid job shielding Watford’s back three.

Etienne Capoue – 6/10
Very good finish for the Hornet’s opener. Quieter in the second half, but put in a great block to deny Leicester.
Nordin Amrabat – 8/10
A constant threat to the visitors. Provided plenty of energy and was a nuisance for Christian Fuchs. Replaced by Guedioura in the 87th minute.

Roberto Pereyra – 8/10
Helped create the first goal before his tremendous run and finish gave the hosts a two-goal cushion. Elevated the whole side with his effortless quality on the ball.
Troy Deeney – 6/10
Just like the opening day against Southampton, his cushioned header set up Capoue for the opener. But it was a tough afternoon as the lone striker up against the physical pair of Robert Huth and Wes Morgan.
Substitutes
Adlene Guedioura – 5/10
Came on too late to make an impact.
Stefano Okaka – 5/10
Made his return from injury late in the game.
